Robot:
- As usual, we went through all five of our runs in this meeting
- Run 1: we added a few handrails to the program
o Specifically in after getting the ring, with the safety
o In a specific move block that is always different
o Also, we created a second program that would simply skip the ring and end after getting the flag, for our new robot plan
o The touch penalty also comes with not being able to get the bottom ring, however, that is made up for by extra time
- Run 2: simplified the method in which it is attached
o Removed the third connection point to the side of the robot
o Removed two E-pegs in the back connection
o Changed the cage connection to a simple axle connection
- Run 5: refined and made minor corrections to the program
o included adding a second lift of B-motor in case the first lift did not substantially flip the stove, or if it bounced back
- Since it seemed accurate enough, we decided to implement the suggestion from a coach a few meetings ago, where Run 1 would have a robot retrieval, and Run 5 would be implemented into the run.
- Practiced dry runs yet again
o Like before, we got relatively high scores
o With the new changes to the robot plan, we now have a possible high score of 540 points within the 2:30 time limit.
o Now, we have yet again captured our highest score on film, of 470 points.
- The robot board was continued yet again
o In this meeting, we added the edges to the interior of the hexaflexagons, which was construction paper of a different color.
